As for tips on what to do first I would suggest getting to the park so you are already in the queue at admissions at least 15mins before park opening. It is scruffy and there is no feel good factor. However it is not good for beginners, the second hole is hit a decent shot or lose your ball. Incremental though - Legoland has some rides my children can't go on.
